We created this space because we’ve been there—confused, overwhelmed, and searching for answers that were hard to find.
Our journey began with my own child, who struggled for years with eating. We were told it was “just a phase” or that he was “just picky.” But deep down, I knew it was more than that. Getting a diagnosis of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) was both a relief and a revelation—but it didn’t come easily.
There wasn’t one clear place to turn. Information was scattered, clinical, or worse—minimizing. Support felt out of reach. And the deeper I searched, the more I realized just how many families, teens, and adults were walking a similar path without guidance, understanding, or proper care.
ARFID is not just picky eating.
It’s a real, serious eating disorder that can impact health, growth, and mental well-being. It’s driven by fear, sensory issues, trauma, or lack of interest in food—not a desire to be thin. And it deserves more awareness, more compassion, and better access to help.
That’s why this site exists.
To bring together trustworthy information, practical tools, personal stories, and resources that empower—not shame. Whether you’re a parent, educator, provider, or someone living with ARFID, I hope you’ll find clarity, comfort, and connection here.
You're not alone. And you're not imagining things.
There’s a name for this. There’s a way forward.
With hope,
